thanks for the note! my real name is ryan lott. i never intended to be a singer. when making the first son lux record, i recorded my own voice as a placeholder, assuming i could find other folks more capable of the task. at some point i realized the weirdness & “falling apart” quality of my voice worked to balance the highly organized and “just-so” vibe of my music otherwise. so i became “a singer,” i suppose you could say.
